By the time Ronnie was done with her errands, the sun had started to set in the sky. When she arrived at home it was well past dark, and a familiar car was parked out front.

She entered to the sound of a shower running and immediately started to smile to herself. She’d never regretted giving him a key and always enjoyed his company.

As she thought of the month’s they’d spent together, she had to admit they’d been the best.

When she’d first branched off from associate minister with the idea to form her own congregation, she’d scouted for buildings and came across one, but a major flaw was the wiring in it.

He’d taken the job as her electrician and the two grew close as he got things ready. A spark went off that lit up the church and sparks had developed between them too.

She stealthily entered the large bathroom, him never hearing her creep inside. She pulled back the curtain and studied his body then glanced up into his hazel eyes.

His curly hair was soaked with water.

“Come on in,” Jack invited.

Following what was a wonderful shower, the two nestled close in her spacious bed.

She decided not to reveal to him that she’d seen Delisa while she was out. On the surface, she’d told herself it’d hurt him ‘cause he’d never gotten over the shock as well. Still, deep down Ronnie had known he’d have talk her out of what she had planned.
